Food. Talk. Discussion.

Got questions? Ask them at Alpha.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Each week includes a free meal to enjoy with your circle, a short film that looks at a different question around faith, and time to have an open discussion in a judgment-free environment.

*Alpha takes place at Mission Church, 82 Stratford Drive in Bloomingdale and whether you attend Mission Church or not; you are welcome to join Alpha.

Is there more to life than this?

Food.

Whether it is a group of friends around the table in a kitchen or a big celebration, food is a way to bring people together. It is no different in Alpha. Each session begins with a free dinner from a local restaurant. Who knew that exploring could taste so good?

Talk.

The talks are Netflix worthy films designed to engage guests and inspire conversation. Usually around thirty minutes long, they explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus? and How can I have faith?

Discussion.

Being able to say aloud that I didn’t believe in all this faith stuff was so refreshing.
— Daniel, Alpha Guest

Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small circle of people. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
